Lets first understand What is cloud computing?
Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of IT resources over the Internet with pay-as-you-go pricing. Instead of buying, owning, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, you can access technology services, such as computing power, storage, and databases, on an as-needed basis from a cloud provider like Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Let me explain in simpler language what is cloud computing and why to use cloud computing so basically cloud computing provides you to host your programme and it keeps running one deployed unless you switch them off for eg suppose you deployed a website on your localhost and share it via ngrok tunnel, in this case, it will active only till your computer remain switched on and now you may say I buy a computer that switched on 24hrs but suppose if clientage increase in the site and your system is of 4gb ram then your client face problem right but here id you site is on the cloud you just have to do few clicks and it will increase ram technical term for this is auto-scaling. There are many clouds providers such as GCP, AWS,Azure, IBM but AWS is quite popular among them.
Almost all company you thing is using the cloud nowadays for their business growth from a gaming company to financial company all using in some of the other ways lets discuss some companies.
